2023-2024 GAARA Registration

GAARA Registration 2023/2024

GAARA Registration is now open. Registration will be done through the RAMP Portal for all players and bench staff. To register for the 2023-2024 GAARA season, please follow the instructions for registering using the RAMP Portal.

Note: given there are legal forms that are read and signed as part of the player and bench staff registration, every team member is individually responsible for completing their own registration.

Key registration dates

• July 16: All teams must be added to the RAMP system by the team rep
• August 28: All known/confirmed players and bench staff on a team must be registered
• August 29: League fees due 
• September 30: The registrar will send out current TRFs to all teams for verification
• November 1: The RAMP registration system is locked; all new registrations require Ringette Ontario (RO) approval
• January 8: Last date to register players on your team and be eligible to play in league games
• January 30: RO TRF change/addition deadline

When additional bench staff or players are added, team reps must provide an updated version of the Team Fee Calculator (see below) to the Treasurer and submit their Ringette Ontario (RO) fees via etransfer.

Bench Staff

All teams are required to have a qualified bench staff member registered on their TRF and present during sanctioned events. Information on Bench Staff roles and responsibilities can be found on the GAARA website.

Spares

Official GAARA spares can spare at their approved level, or a higher level, as many times as they want during the ringette season. However, there are rules governing how many times a spare can play for any given team in the regular season as well as in the playoffs. Spare guidelines can be found in the Gaara Rules and Regulations.

Registration Fees (excluding team fees) 

RO Player fees

• RO is not charging their fees at time of registration in RAMP. 
• Players will submit their RO fees to their team rep
• RO Fee: $62.25 ($51.00 membership + $11.25 insurance)

Note: A player who is on the bench for a minor association will need to advise the association that their insurance has been covered through their player registration with GAARA

Spare Fees

Spares are required to pay a $35.00 GAARA league fee, as well as their RO membership and insurance fees ($51+$11.25), bringing the total fee to $97.25

RO Bench staff 

• Player/bench staff: $36.50 RO membership fee 
• ?Non-playing bench staff: $47.75 ($36.50 membership + $11.25 insurance)
• Bench staff members will need to discuss with their team rep who is responsible for paying the RO Bench Staff fees.  If the individual is they will need to remit the fees to their team rep

Please note the following:

• Bench staff who are also players: the insurance portion is covered as part of the player fee
• Bench staff who are also a bench staff member for a minor association: their bench staff fee is to be covered by the minor association
